Harrison isn't listed in Ezra Warner's Generals in Gray, which is based on primary sources. There appears to be no appointment other than colonel in his 32nd Georgia regimental file. If there's any substance to the claim that Harrison held a Confederate commission above the rank of colonel, we should find his mentioned in the Senate Journal for 1865.
