Bobby, I don't know where you live but if you live in Georgia, the Georgia Department of Archives & History in Morrow has all the Georgia Confederate Soldiers' Compiled Service Records on microfilm. This is the same info you would get if you visited the National Archives in Washington or hired somebody in Washington to do your research. This may or may not help you with your quest.
