Thank you all for posting about this subject. My GGG grandfather John Kirk served in Haralson County, GA. I have requested documents from the GA Archives to prove his service and have received nothing.

I know the UDC will not take Ancestory.com records but I really appreciate seeing his name listed there. Now if I can just find a book or something published that records it I will be able to submit his name.
