Thank you. My time in the Navy was most satisfying. Company A of the 18th was the "Acworth Infantry". Lemuel H. Boring, my GGF, died at Seven Pines. He is buried at Oakwood Cemetery, in Richmond. After his capture July 11, 1864 at Roswell, Georgia, Uncle Frank was sent to Camp Douglas. He claimed the conditions and treatment he received there gave him rheumatism. Uncle Alex, 4th Sgt. of Co. A, was captured at Cedar Creek October 19, 1864, and sent to Point Lookoit. They both were paroled in June 1865 and walked home.
