Hello Sally, I don't know anything about your husband's ancestor in D Company. Haven't had a chance to do a lot of research on it. I am however, related to the Jacksons out of Banks County. My 3rd Great Grandmother was a Jackson. I found some family history through a cousin (a Jackson) who lives in Oklahoma. He told me about 3 Jacksons (brothers to my ancestor) who fought in the war.
