11th Ga Calvary

An ancestor, Jacob Warren Vandiver, has a grave marker that indicates he served in Company G, 11th Regiment Ga Calvary. I have copies of his CSR that indicates he was about 14 years of age when he enlisted, but I have not found a muster of Co. G. nor any muster for other companies.

I also have a copy of a pension application made for his wife to obtain burial expense for herself. This pension application was apparently made by her funeral director. Incidentally her total funeral cost including casket and a black dress was 75.00. The cost of funerals have increased greatly since the mid 1920.

I have also very limited data as to the role that the 11th Regiment, Ga. Calvary played during the war. Apparently most of the action in which they were involved occurred in and around Savannah during the latter part of Sherman's march through Georgia.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
