Georgia General Wright, 1864

Need help identifying a "General Wright" who requested the Chief Signal Officer, Army of Tennessee, to organize a "volunteer signal corps" for the defense of Atlanta. This resulted in a Special Requisition (Form 40) for cloth, presumably to make flags, which was dated Atlanta, Ga, 26 May 1864, and receipted for same day. Scrawled signature on form as "commanding" is "Marcus J...... .......," making me think of Allardice's ref to an M.J. Wright, first name Marcus, in "More Gens in Gray," p. 257n, although this signature does not appear to be "Wright." Was there a Georgia State Troops general named Wright involved in defense of Atlanta at this time?
