Thanks, Ralph for checking the Krick book for me. It saves me a long ride!

Mr. Martin's comments are also appreciated, but there are a couple of records, including the court martial for overstaying his furlough (which I believe was granted so that he could take his brother Hugh's body back home for burial), and on May 27, 1863, there is a record of him receiving a commutation of rations while on furlough. I believe he was back with his unit as early as March 16, 1863, when he was court martialed and sentenced to hard labor. Do you think that the reference to him being "Killed at Pennsylvania" is a mistake and that he was actually killed at Funkstown?
