Re: The short bio of Thomas Ellison 9th Georgia In *PIC*

Dennis,
Thanks for the additional info. I have been researching the 9th for several years,
and am always "on the lookout" for any scrap of info on the men of the regiment.
All I had on him was what Henderson's has, which is:
Ellison, Robert----- private June 11, 1861 . Captured at Gettysburg,
Pa. July 3, 1863 . Took oath of allegiance to U. S. Govt. and
joined U. S. Army at Fort Delaware, Del. in 1864 . Again, thanks for posting.

My relatives in K Company of the 9th Georgia Volunteer Infantry:
Lt. William A. Cobb (WIA/disabled Gettysburg)-Uncle
Pvt. Jacob W. Cobb (WIA 7days and the Shenandoah)-GGGrandfather
Pvt. Avery Cobb (WIA Gettysburg, WIA Wilderness disabled))-Uncle
Pvt. James Daniel (WIA (lost leg) Deep Bottom, Va.-Uncle
Pvt. William H. Edwards (KIA Gettysburg)-Uncle
Pvt. Sidney Turner Edwards-Uncle
