Charles,

You may consider analyzing the companies that were generated out of a county from March - May 1862. These organizations would have been generated out of this requirement by the state. I research what became Cumming's Brigade, Stevenson's Division, Army of Tennessee and I know that 34th, 36th, 39th, 56th, and 57th Georgia Volunteer Regiments were generated out of the governor's request.
