Casualties being as high as they were during the battles of July 20th and July 22nd, almost any structure in Atlanta could have been converted to a hospital. If you've seen "Gone With the Wind" and poor Dr. Meade having to deal with all those wounded soldiers, you'll understand.

This man enlisted at Buena Vista on August 4, 1863, which leave me to wonder what he was doing before Gettysburg. Unfortunately his service record end with the company's last roll dated February 1864.
