Mr. Hardy,

I have been studying Cumming's Brigade, Stevenson's Division for about nine years now and have found no direct account of the engagement nor have I found the dispositions of troops. Very little material has survived to this day. The soldier's accounts, which they are very few of, of the Atlanta Campaign just mention that they were skirmishing everyday. Letters did not survive because a huge portion of the troops were from the northwestern corner of the state already under Federal control. No regimental records survive for practically the entire Army of Tennessee from April-November 1864.

Sorry I could be of more assistance.

Respectfully,
