I can`t find my notes but I`m most certain his name was James Jackson and I think he was Pvt in Co H 9th Tex Cav.
At time of War he would have been living in Dallas County.
He was born in Bates County Missouri and family moved to Dallas Co Tex in 1861.

His brother, Jeremiah Jackson was also Pvt in 9th Tex Cav., Co D. He survived the war.
