Thanks for the reply Patti. Very interesting webpage you have.

My wife has many folders of information passed down from the family. Her one family heirloom is a pistol supposedly own by King Fisher. She has a letter from Florence Fisher claiming it to be authentic.

Going from my memory, Jobe was one of the older sons of James and Anna. After James died Anna and the kids struggled. She applied and was granted land patents that later were sold to help support the family. When Anna died she left a parcel of land in her will to Jobe and went into cattle ranching. I'll have to look and see if we have any documentation on Jobe and Lucinda. I believe Jobe died in Goliad.

Any stories of Jame Fisher/Anna Ladd Damron and their history in Illinois or involvement in the Texas Revolution would be of much interest.
