I am searching for further information on Elijah Lake, a private in Company K, 1st Choctaw Mounted Rifles, CSA. As far as I know he served as a private throughout the entire conflict in Company K of the above regiment. Any information that you may have would be greatly appreciated. I believe this man to be my 3rd great grandfather. The family story goes is that Elijah served as a wagon master during the War Between the States, my family never informed me on which side he served, but this regiment would have been the closest to where he lived at the time.
