Could the high hills be referring to the banks which are at least 20' above the actual creek? Concerning the Brown allotment, it could have been south of 86th street. Phillips allotment included the horseshoe and went east. West of the horseshoe was the Chissom or Chism allotment.

The way the terrain has been landscaped in recent times may have obliterated any reference points in this area. BTW did you ever find the location of Parks stores?
