Hi Ralph! Yes, that is certainly a possiblity (that Sparks got mixed up as to the terrain at the two battles). I never thought much about his comment about the hills until I saw the other source (that I would consider less reliable than Sparks) that mentioned the Lula Phillips allotment that does have hills on it. Both could be wrong so I'm trying to reconsider the available sources and see if they support a different conclusion on the location (and range) of the battle.
