I found the 1997 printing online at Google Books. The portion available online included the passages about the trip to North Fork Town and also "the exceptionally fine introduction" by Dr. Shea.

The passage regarding Krebbs/Brebbs/Rubbs is identical in the re-published version.

Does anyone know where the original handwritten documents are?
