This Chickasaw manual labor school was near Tishomingo-
In 1852 Col Pitman Colbert a wealthy Chickasaw was building out-side building at Wapanucka he said his intentions was also- a Grist mill,Saw-mill,and Orchard.

Hoard and Son's eight-horse portable steam engine and a portable sawmill (1857)

Agriculture was still a vital subject and year by year the farm was enlarged and improved. In addition to corn,wheat,oats,
eight acres were planted in chinese sugar cane,clover,bluegrass,timothy,herds grass,lucerne and millet were being cultivated.
All the crops were flourishing except wheat and oats which were injured by frust.
In addition to the Saw-mill there was then on the place a flour mill which was run by an eight horse power steam engine.
They were building barns,sheds for cattle and sheep,corn house,and a stable.
