Record of Events

The regiment has been engaged in scouting in various portions of this country and the Indian Nation in search of Indians, Deserters, traitors, Bushwhackers, etc. The returns of the companies came in this month in very deficient style from the cause that no blank Return had been furnished them.

Company A remained at Camp Simons through October, then in November were reported at Camp Nicholson, C. N., and in January 1865, located at Camp Steel, no further records
