Do you mean Warde's characterization of Phillips's campaign as one of "raising the black flag", with all the wounded from Middle Boggy being found later with their throats slashed and a general killing of all pro-Confederate Indians during the campaign [there's a quote from a 1st IHG Muskogee to that effect]. It seems to be presented as raising a revenge context for later deeds committed at Poison Springs. Is this stuff just wholly inaccurate (I don't like Rampp's book either, but have no knowledge at all of the source material related to Phillips and Middle Boggy)?
