Thank you very much for the additional information! I am so glad I came across this website. I have been down Hwy 218 a number of times, but have yet to see the monument. We are friends with one of the property owners that has land on either side of the interstate exchange. His name is Terry Smith, and his property is on the south side of hwy 218 (near Hatcher Valley road). On the rare occasion that we have spoke with him on our weekly outings, it has been about the snakes of this area. Unfortunately, since my interest has been kindled about the historical significance of the area, we have not ran into him. We are also friends of the "KY Down Under" park and visit this site frequently. We have not seen any markers on their property either. Any information on where this marker is would be greatly appeciated. I would very much like to visit.
