Re: Col. Charles Wickliffe, 7 KY Inf., CSA/Bardsto

Rather than Bardstown, it is more likely that Col. Charles Anderson Wickliffe, nephew of Charles A. Wickliffe the former Governor of Ky, was taken back home to be buried in Ballard County at Blandville, KY (now known as Wickliffe in his honor). His wife and 2 children were all living there in 1863. Ballard County was his wife's family home for many years before the war. Col. Wickliffe married his wife, Martha Eugneia Moore of Ballard County, in 1855.
