I learned from the Tennessee State Archieves that my great great grandfather served with the eighth ky inf mounted. he was captured during one
of morgans raids and spent time in camp douglas il. he eventually received a pension and a pow medal from tenn. he died in 1928.
There are several ky regement Heroes buried in a crummy cementary in Marietta Georgia. They died at the battle of Kennesaw Mountain. He was born in wilkes county N.C. in 1828
and died in nashville tn. in 1911.
This cemetery is supposed to be maintained by the city.
