Don't know of any ties to Camp Verde for the 43rd MS yet.

However, it is extremely difficult to find service records for the US Army for the period AFTER the Mexican War and BEFORE the Civil War.

If I can find a roster of Camel Corps soldiers, I can fairly easily compare their names to the names of the men of the 43rd MS (with the usual difficulties appertainng thereto).

I'm looking into the National Archives Camel Corps papers.
