Thank you all for the information. In checking the records of Steve Edwards, he had a brother Mitchell and a brother Wood. Steve's oldest son, also a Mitchell, enlisted when he was 15 years old. They all appeared to be privates in Company G for the Louisiana 26th Infantry. I have been told that Steve lost touch with his son Mitchell durning the war and did not see him again until the end of the war.

Do you know where to purchase "The story of the 26th Louisiana Infanty in the Service of the Confederate States" and the Booth Records? Are these for reseachers only? I will also check into the Military Records Research.
