Thank you. He was definitely born in Tenn, and his parents were both born in Pa. Herron, however, is a Donegal name, and he was elected to be commanding officer in a regiment more Irish than anything. I'm "assuming" that might be part of the reason, but I could be very wrong. Also, I am part of a group (despite recent widespread publicity), that does not believe there is such a thing as Scotch-Irish.
