Tom Brooks, one crazy Canadian (and a personal friend), and Mike Jones put together a nice narrative on the 10th La Infantry. I recommend it for any library.

And I'm sure Mr Bergeron is too classy to toot his own horn, so I'll do it for him. Art's book on the Louisiana units is another must for your collection. If you don't already have it, get it.
