Yes. Gary found this journal several years ago and has edited it for publication. King was not in the 28th for the entire war, being assigned to duty in Shreveport at some point (I do not recall exactly when but think it was before the Red River Campaign). The diary reveals some very interesting stories about the Trans-Mississippi Department and the 28th.
