I am looking for a soldier in the 8th LA. Infantry that was wounded/transferred/discharged on or after May 30, 1862 and sent to the Trans-Mississippi Department where he died at Pleasant Hill on April 9, 1864. Most likely he was in the 28th LA/18th LA/Consolidated Crescent at that point, as they did get into light action late in the day. I have looked at some of the rosters posted online but to no avail. Do you have any idea who this soldier might be? I saw on this post that you have a database on the men of the 8th LA.
