Still trying to find out anything about my Great Grandfather - Lane Gallaspie - He lost a leg in the War, and beyond that, I know very little. He would have been in the Vernon Parish area after the War. It is possible that he was from some other State, and enllisted, served and after discharge came there. Any help would be appreciated, that is not a common name. I am getting to be a very old man, and if I don't find something soon, it will not happen.
