Probably the best known story along this line is that of the British Admiral Nelson, who was killed at the Battle of Trafalgar, and his body sent home in a cask of rum. So the story goes, when they opened the barrel to take him out, the barrel was dry - the sailors had tapped the barrel and drank all the rum on the voyage home.
