I have received confirmation that there will be a ceremony for the placement of a correct grave marker for 1st Serg Marsden Campbell, Co. A, 2nd LA Cav. at the Washington Cemetery (formerly German Cemetery)in Houston, TX on Oct. 20, 2012. According the the cemetery board, both Union and Confederate graves will be honored as well and re-enactors will be present.

The current grave marker has errors of name and unit.
