In looking yesterday at the submissions listed on the LA Confederate Pension System site, it was clear that the Caldwell Parish and 31st LA inclusions were conflations by LA administrators of the Confederate Pension System of the different submissions. I agree with your analysis.

Have you reviewed the individual pension filing pages for Whittington to see if Mary Ann Kildredge (Kittdredge) Whittington mentioned the Washington Artillery and the 2nd LA Cavalry, or whether the inclusion of the two units was an administrative decision by LA Pension System workers?
