My great great grandfather was wounded and treated at Calliham Place (Calliham Plantation) field hospital and received a 35 day furlough to go back home to Parker, County, Texas. He served with Wharton's 19th Texas Cavalry and it is most likely that he was wounded at the Yellow Bayou. See his marker at Springtown Cemetery below.
