Re: Andrew Jackson "Dick" Kitchen - Bushwacker

Thanks, I do have that informtion but thanks for adding to the mix. Across the holler from the Renaud Cemetery is the Renaud Cave, a favorite hideout of the bushwackers Dick Kitchen, Bill Wilson and Anthony Wright. The location of the cemetery and cave is about 2 1/2 miles east of Edgar Springs, Missouri. Edgar Springs was located along the Rolla-Houston Road during the war. There was a story circulating Dick Kitchen was brought back to Renaud Cememtery to be buried after he was killed but I find this hard to believe. I'd think the body to be dug out of the ground in Arkansas after the family recieved word of the death and the lengthly return of the body through the Ozark mountains to Phelps County in May/June of 1868 would have left the body a reeking gob of bones and goo.
