John I can't thank you enough for the assistance, I have made a copy (paper this time) of the names and information you have given me, they will be of great assistance in "Digging Up Bones".

If I can find any reference at all to Hollow Oley I will post it here.

I see what you mean about those men not being "Home Town Boys". It seems William F. Gourley and possibly William Scaggs were the only ones even from Pike County, Missouri and at least one, William F Evans was not even involved in the incident.

That news will burst a few bubbles around here, by their names being on the monument we just assumed they were all from here in Louisiana.

By the way, I don't get around to posting very often but I do enjoy reading what is being discussed here very much.
