Much harder number to get at due to the election and land fraud issues that surround Kansas during the 50s. There is a Federal Census in 1860 but I'm not sure how complete it is. A number of the Kansas State/Territory census listings are rooted in voting lists and as such are a bit hit or miss in their coverage. I'm not saying this to be desparaging, only to help folks understand the period between 1850 and 1860 was confused and hectic even for the most honest and diligent of folks trying to do a good job.
