Information per Rose Mary Lankford from "The Encyclopedia of Quantrill's Guerrillas":
Bledsoe was shot in the groin with a minnie ball while retreating from Lawrence. The George brothers acquired a carriage for transport to Lafayette County, Missouri. While recuperating, Bledsoe was discovered by Fed. Calvary scouts and killed September 1863.

Following the war, Tom Hamilton attended the Quantrill Reunions.

By the way, I don't think too highly of the Jayhawkers and Redlegs (with very good reason).
