Neither side was saintly, Mr. Drees... It's too bad that not all things are so simple.
My Great Grandfather:
Andrew Jackson YAGER - Union soldier, private. Enrolled 08 Oct 1862 at Mexico, MO in the 61st Regiment. Enrolled Missouri Militia, Company G. Duty in 8th Military District, North Missouri. Skirmish near Columbia Jan 21, 1863. -[Thanks Bruce.]-
Some, more distant, kin:
James Holsclaw was murdered by Lt. Jo Strett (Street), of Guitar's regiment.
I have 9 kinsman that rode with Quantrill, Anderson and Todd and I'm still counting. There was a time that I could care less about the Civil War. Now, as history is revealed, I am infuriated by it. ~don
