No disrespect but, Danville to Wellsville, Wellsville to Mexico, Mexico to Centralia, Centralia to Higbee, Higbee to Glasgow all together would have been between 95 and 105 miles. Three full days at 30-35 miles a day and they are there, with time to spare. Up at daylight, say 6am, ride till 10am at 3 miles per hour average. 3x4= 12 miles. Ride from 11am to 3pm. 2.5 miles per hour. 2.5x4 = 10 more miles, we are up to 22 miles and I believe that they could have rested till 5pm and rode till 10pm and travel 30-35 miles a day. Easy, no, but do-able, yes. Day in and day out. The Centralia to Higbee ride would have been the hardest part. Talk to some of your neighbors in Randolph County, half of the population up there goes to Eminence every year. Ask them how far they could ride in a day if they had to get somewhere.
