I've searched the Missouri CS Honor Roll and find none of the names, Ashley Station location, or a matching date 8/24/1864 but there was action and men killed on that date at Grand Prairie, AR (11th Mo Cav) and Devalle's Bluff, AR ( 12th Mo Cav), one man at each is all that is recordered.......11th (Ezkial Evans) & 12th (B.W. Stone).......doesn't mean it didn't happen.....where is Ashley Station exactly?? Might need to go to Dye's Continemum? and look for the date and units. Neil
