Re: General Jo Shelby's March (New Book)

Hi Mr. Martin,
I haven't read that book but TJ Stiles biography of Jesse James has some info on Gen.Shelby in Mexico. The two books I just listed have some info on Gen Shelby. I get the sense that Shelby was already a bit out of place in the CW era and that Gen Grant and Longstreet represented the future of what armed conflict would evolve into.
