Jim,

Thank you for your efforts in taking care of this matter. I have been an admire of Jo Shelby for many years. Many others and myself and have spent considerable time making sure that Jo Shelby is not to be forgotten.

We had the book "Shelby and His Men" 1867 by John N. Edwards reprinted in 1993 and sold them to build the Shelby monument that stands proudly in downtown Waverly Mo.. We also had a bronze plaque installed at the Methodist Church in Waverly marking the site where Shelby raised his first Cavalry Reg..

Shelby's face still graces the halls of the Federal Building today in Kansas City Mo..
