Thank you for your reply. I found out about "Woodson Thornton" in "Jesse James: Last Rebel of the Civil War " T. J. Stiles, and the same reference in Fellmans "Inside War: The Guerrilla Conflict in Missouri During the American Civil War ". Both work state " Woodson Thornton and his bushwhackers were intimidating voters at the Saline county Polls in 1866. Also two web sites list a Woodson Thornton's guerrilla command.( ie http://www.rulen.com/partisan/rangers.htm ) I was hoping someone could provide information about guerrilla groups in Saline county under his, or Tom Woodson's command. Any known lists or partial lists of individuals who rode with him. Also references where I might find information regarding his operations. My ancestor was according to family oral history in the bush during 1862-64, then in Gordon's Regt. with Gen. Shelby in the fall of 64. My family was from Grand Pass, so my main interest was guerrillas from that area. Thank you again for your time Bruce.
Charles
PS I can't wait until your new book comes out.
