Thank you for your reply. Yes, Orearville was named for my family. My ancestor lived there with a son and at least one daughter. They had a 550 acre hemp Plantation which became the site of the village. There was a Post office there until 1902. It was three miles south of Salter, and Steve McQueen went to school there as a child. All that is there now is an school, and a cemetary. Gilliam is named for a different family than mine. My Gilhams came from Dover, Lafayette County, MO. They moved to Saline County after the death of their father in 1840. I heard you were working on a bio about Shelby at one time. Anything to that? Thanks again.
