Thank you for explaining that. I had Lewis A. Lyle married to Artie Keller, she was his wife at the time of his death in 1953. So either Daisy Hamlett died or they were divorced some time after their marriage in 1910.

But you provided me with information I was unaware of. Henry Garrison was born in Tennessee. The Garrison's that I'm familiar with came out of Polk and Knox Counties Tennessee. But you mentioned Roane as the home of the Lyle family. I have been attempting to identify Henry's family roots, thinking he could be part of the Garrison families out of Knox and Polk Tennessee. I'll have to broaden my search if these folks all traveled and settled together.

Mary Garrison died in 1908, so her direct influence on the marriage of Lewis Lyle and Daisy Hamlett would not have been as great. But I'm sure if the murder of her husband was at the hands of Union soldiers everyone in the immediate family would know it. I also think that some of the killings that were occurring may have had to do with just robbery as opposed to the Civil War, which provided cover for such activities.

Again thanks for the information, now if I could just figure out who Henry's father was....
