Folks, Shirmish in Roanoke, Mo September 6th, 1862......Merrill Horses/2nd Mo Cav (US) fighting Poindexter Mo Cav (CS) (Most likely) need to known details that maybe in OR, it is listed, but I don't have it.........local info says a mass grave in Roanoke Cemetery, (not big numbers, but several) trying to figure out date this may have occurred.....fight east of town Sept. 10th 1864 Austin(US) Holtsclaw (CS) running fight(doesn't give the direction of fighting). next day Fisk(US) tells Austin to move on Hackley Farm(10 miles SW) of Roanoke.....fight maybe in Chariton County in Oct....near Roanoke( can't find anything) on about it might not be any more out there, but I'm lookin ........thanks for any help Neil
