I saw a letter from Fisk, a date after king's Sept. 10th fight with Holtzclaw telling him to look around the Hackley Farm.
Just trying to come up with what local legend (Roanoke) says about a fight real close to town with the dead buried in Cemetery.......It's just not there.......not that close.....I'm going with burials took place several times during the war.....best we can do...thanks for all your effort
