Re: Location of Camp Lane Springs, MO.?

MO. That is the State. Missouri. This is in regard to Death of one, Pvt. Hardy L. Biggs, 8th MO. Vol. Cav. USA, Co. H. who died Nov. 2, 1863 at DeValls Bluff, Arkansas. Have Muster Roll and other Military papers that said he was buried at
DeValls Bluff. Went to DeValls Bluff 150 Sesquicentennial last month and tried to locate Post Graves. Was told that the Gov't transferred bodies of Both Union and Confederate sometime in 1870's or 1880's to one of -3- National Cemeteries. That being, Ft. Smith, Little Rock or Fayetteville. Have gone through what I can find for those sites and his name is not listed. Then, up-on inquirying of Flag for the 8th MO., was sent a picture of Flag and copy of Muster Roll for Hardy showing: Died of brain fever in reg'l hospital. XXXXXXXX Nov 2, 1863. [All this was typed.]
But then in handwriting: Possible at Camp Lane Springs, MO. There in is my question. Where is Camp Lane Springs, MO.? Was searching internet and saw Lane Springs, MO. as Nat'l Forrest now. Nothing is mentioned about it as being a Camp, Post or Hospital during the Civil War at any time. That is all the information I have been able to get. Thank YOU for your reply. RB
